Greg Otterholt Bio

Greg Otterholt – Broadcaster, Singer, Voice Talent, Musician, & Media Producer.

He was born with one arm, but what others called a “defect,” Greg turned into an opportunity to overcome their labels and assumptions.

With the encouragement of amazing parents, family, friends, teachers, coaches, youth leaders, and God’s Amazing Grace, they all played a part and propelled him to see unique solutions and inventive ways to creatively conquer each challenge along his path.

It catapulted him to a wide range of athletic achievements.  He was captured by the cameras of ESPN & Wide World of Sports for ski racing,
featured in Golf Digest for hitting a “one-handed” hole-in-one, and played in the 1994 World Cup with the U.S. Amputee exhibition team.

He then went from being the story to telling the stories of others after getting a degree in Broadcast Journalism at Western Washington University.  He started in both radio and television, but the TV gig ultimately became his full-time career.  For 17 years, he honed those skills on both sides of the mics and cameras. His versatility carried him from Audio Engineer, Camera Operator, and Floor Director, to other opportunities as Reporter, Weatherman, and an Anchor for WeatherView, SkiView, and NewsView on KVOS TV.

Greg also married the love of his life just as college ended and his career got started.  The second half of that decade of life brought 3 amazing new lives into the picture as their family began to blossom.

Greg’s musical life also blossomed.  He started writing, producing, and performing, sang for large festivals and professional sporting events, and shared the stage with several world-class and Grammy Award-winning artists.  A multi-instrumentalist and professional vocalist, Greg has been heard in countless songs, jingles, and commercials and has produced 5 solo albums since.

His story took a hard turn when the TV station he spent his career at went up for sale, eliminating the newscast and crew.  However, his entrepreneurial spirit seized the opportunity to harness all the skills he learned to form his own production company.

Greg’s success as Hook & Pan Productions broadened even beyond his broadcast days.  He’s managed nationwide media campaigns, followed his favorite team to their first Superbowl-winning celebration, and continues to share his client’s inspiring stories to media networks all over the globe.

From broadcasting to entertaining… to performing, writing, recording, filming, and producing… if it involves music, mics, lights, cameras, and action… that’s part of where you’ll see Greg shine.

That inspiration also shines through his God-given creativity that reflects his passion to encourage and entertain from an eternally positive perspective.

In 2021 Greg was invited to return to radio on Praise 106.5.  He co-hosted the morning show there for the last 2 years.  It was also during this show that the Amazing Grace Challenge idea was inspired.  Due to corporate staff cuts that job sadly just came to a close. (Hear Greg’s goodbye to listeners)  But Greg still felt called to persevere and finish this World Record pursuit he had started.

Greg says, “The common thread that so many shared to encourage me was from Ephesians 3:20; Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine.

My prayer became that God would stretch my faith… as He yet again outstretches my imagination.

Though the next chapter is still unknown, perhaps this Amazing Grace Challenge will result in something beyond all our imaginations.
Just maybe it will be the catalyst to inspire more of the world to live out the amazing grace-filled words that still change the world… one heart at a time!
