How to Set the Record

Record and post your version of Amazing Grace to just ONE of these platforms:

YouTube (BEST option) #AmazingGraceChallenge typed in the title.
TikTok  (Must be a “post” on a “public” account.) #AmazingGraceChallenge typed in the title.
Facebook  (Public video or Reel that doesn’t expire… posted to a “public” page.) #AmazingGraceChallenge typed in the title.
Instagram  (Public Reel that doesn’t expire… posted to a “public” page.) #AmazingGraceChallenge typed in the title.
Twitter/X  (Public video on a “public” account.) …and yep ~ #AmazingGraceChallenge typed in the title.

(Please just post it to one of the above so we don’t get duplicates that get rejected in the final combined tally.)

Oh… did I mention😊add this hashtag to your post: #AmazingGraceChallenge and post it with your video ASAP.
(We only have weeks left of this 250th Anniversary year of 2023 to set the record so don’t delay!)

The Fun: Artists and bands can challenge each-other… or challenge their fans to join in.  Maybe do a remix or duet and post your own spin on your favorite artists social media post of their recording of the song.

Soloists, schools, churches, or choirs can also challenge each other.  There’s no limit to how many versions you can upload… just that they need to at least differ in some way from each other.

In the end though… it’s not about the style, the group, or even the soloist.  It’s about the truth and grace that the song describes. That means anyone can sing it because we all need the grace reflected in it.
It doesn’t matter what your background is, what you’ve done, how undeserving you might feel.  None of us can earn grace.  It’s forgiving and being forgiven despite the circumstances.  That’s why it’s called “Grace” (kindness, compassion and undeserved favor).  And that’s why it’s Amazing!

All we need is simply 1 verse of the song… (or more if you like.)  Here are the most recognized verses:

Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind but now I see

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

Through many dangers, toils, and snares
I have already come
‘Tis grace that brought me safe thus far
And grace will lead me home

When we’ve been here ten thousand years
Bright, shining as the sun
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we first begun
